You've got an acronym issue, it's PIPA not PITA.

Thanks for putting these two seemingly disconnected topics together. I wonder if any pornography sites have 'blacked out' in protest to SOPA & PIPA. There are certainly user generated pornography sites that would be affected by any such legislation. As porn goes, so goes the internet?

I'm very grateful for Solberg's comment, that helped me nail what seemed so familiar about this. "And it's gone" - a very resonant phrase for someone who has listened to that song hundreds of times. I love the effect of the pricking of memory before the secret is found, and of singing along after the easter egg is found.

Monumental, this. "Loosely, in the Cube; no Diamonds."

Worth running out for a couple more beers just to sit here and think deep. Could an even-more-fab four have known it would come to this?
Reading your gems, and aloud, feels like pouring ether in my carb.
(And of course as a rabid doggerellist, I flash on the meter/rhyme happies.)
OMG, 'LCD'? Who the hell's running this Game anyway?

Here we say 'B'te'a'von! when walking past even a stranger eating lunch. If the guy is also working, it's 'Avodah Na'ima' The first is straightforward Bon Apetite, the second Pleasant Work, roughly.
(my comment more on substance on the cross-post)

As well expressed as anything I have read on the topic. "A thousand channels and no genuine choice" - that's the world of Facebook right now. So many people, though, are very satisfied with what they think is a fantastic way to stay in touch (and with the choices available on cable TV, too).

I arise each morning torn between
a desire to improve the world
and a desire to enjoy the world.
This makes it hard to plan the day.
